I measure about 13 1/2 inches from head to heels and weigh a pound and a half – about the size of a rutabaga (un rutabaga). I’m beginning to add on baby fat and my skin is smoothing out. My hair now has color and texture, as well.
This week mom is feeling BIG for the first time. She is noticing a difference in the way she sleeps (can’t sleep well without lots of extra pillows and has a granola bar every morning around 4am) and is getting many more comments and friendly, sometimes sympathetic glances from strangers.

I am slightly disturbed by this photo – don't think I've ever seen nor eaten a rutabaga before. Yuck!
You've never eaten rutabaga? Have you ever had a pastie from Northern Michigan? If so, you've probably had rutabaga. A good root vegtable with a pretty purple color on the outside and white on the inside. Rutabaga is a very common ingredient in pasties. I guess we will have to have pasties the next time you come to Nipigon.

Now Oakra is a different story. Yuck!
That's true – I guess I've eaten it. Not a particularly attractive veggie. 🙂
I actually think that the color is very pretty . it also has a good solid earthiness to it. It almost looks like Native American pottery to me .
Good analogy. I think you're right. I bet Kristy is "re-thinking" rutabaga now.
Okay, now I feel badly. It is a nice, earthy color. I guess I just don't like the idea of a root vegetable growing inside of me. 🙂
Ha ha … you feel guilt about bad mouthing a vegetable? ha ha I hear that the Rutabaga Union has your name on a list !
I think that it is only when you eat watermelon seeds that they will grow inside of you , at least that's what they told me when I was little.:-)
