This past month went so quickly, I almost missed Robin’s 13 month birthday! She has surprised us all by going from taking 4 or 5 steps every once and awhile to being a full-time walker in a period of 3 days! She still works to keep her balance but when she falls she gets right back up and she has no problem walking across the room or down the hallway. This morning I caught her running in the playroom – she changes too fast! It’s so fun to see the changes in her now that she is walking. Last night Robin walked into every bedroom in the house, paused, looked around, then turned around and did the same thing in the next room. I truly wonder what she is thinking! The past few weeks have been rough in terms of her sleep. She has been stirring frequently at night, often requiring me to go in and soothe her, and has been waking up very early (before 6am). I’m fairly certain that her mind was busy processing so much with the new movements and talking that she was unable to get restful sleep, because since she’s figured out the walking thing the past few days she is back to sleeping like normal. Phew!

Robin says many words related to food (especially ‘all done’ and ‘more’) and makes some animal sounds and kissing noises when you tell her you want a kiss. She is a great eater – the only food she dislikes to date is raw tomatoes and she eats anything and everything on her tray, her obvious favorite foods being cheese, blueberries, and anything with brown rice. She loves dancing with mommy and snuggling with daddy in the morning, and for some reason she sits down and bangs her head against the ground when she’s frustrated (no idea where she got that from). Her and Lilly interact more all the time and Lilly always calms Robin down in the car by making funny noises, which Robin copies. So cute!

Here is a video of Robin toddling around last weekend. It’s amazing how far she’s come even since then!
