Today marked the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States – Barack Obama. It was a proud day for America and the world alike. Even though Bill and I both decided to vote for the other candidate in the end, we watched the inauguration with full hearts in anticipation of what’s to come. It was amazing to see Americans come together for such a remarkable event and to think of all of the possibilities ahead, led by this young First Family. We look forward to welcoming Baby Gray during an exciting time in our nation’s history, a time when all children – black, white and everything in between – can realize their dreams.

I agree with everything you said today about the inauguration. Although I, too, voted for the other candidate, I have a lot of respect for Obama and am very hopeful for the future. This truely was a wonderful day for our country and the world.
