We have succumb to peer pressure. That’s right, after seeing about 30 toddler’s a day scooting around on Strider Balance Bikes we finally broke down and bought one for Lilly. Bill came home from work early on Friday for the long weekend and we took L for a spin around the lake in her new wheels. She was very excited about her pink bike but it will likely take her some time to get used to it. L can recite the phone book but she’s not the most coordinated toddler in the world! 🙂 On Saturday we took her to Valmont Bike Park to try out the toddler Strider course (yes, this 40 acre state-of-the-art bike park has a course for toddlers dedicated to Strider bikes, welcome to Boulder) and she surprised us by wanting to try out the ‘hill course’ with the big boys! I could hardly watch but she had a blast getting around on her bike and telling the older boys, who were zipping around like pros, what to do! I love that girl!

Meanwhile, I’m picking up my first new bike since I was 10 years old this week! It’s not the pink bike that I always wanted (I’ll never let my dad forget that he bought me a yellow Schwinn for my 10th birthday when I REALLY wanted the pink one!) but it’s still pretty sweet (click here). I can’t wait to tote the girls around town with me!
