Welcome Tessa Elaine Gee!

Congratulations to Jerry, Karen & big sister Heidi!  Tessa Elaine Gee was born today at 1:42am, weighing in at 7lbs 12 ounces, 21 inches.

We can’t wait to meet her!

First Fall

Lilly had her first ‘bad’ fall today.  We were in her playroom and she was balancing on one of her toys when she slipped and fell face-first onto the wood floor (of course she missed the play mat!).  I watched the whole thing happen and when I picked her up her nose was bleeding.  It was so awful!  Her nose stopped bleeding and she calmed down quickly, but as soon as she did I was a complete mess – called the doctor and Bill, who asked his parents to come over for some support.  I knew she was fine because a few minutes after the incident she was laughing and playing.  I just cleaned the blood off and gave her Tylenol and nose drops.  First time seeing her bleed – I’d like to think that it will never happen again, but I know that we will see plenty of blood and tears.  Especially with our little adventurous girl!

Playdates

Lilly and I have been enjoying lots of playdates with friends.  Today the Beaumont Moms Group met at our house.  Here is a photo of the babies in the group – they all range from 6-8 months (click on image to view larger).

“Mommmmm!!!”

Lilly’s first word is definitely ‘mom’ (sounds like ‘mommmmmmmmm’ with a really long m at the end).  She has been saying ‘ma’ for several weeks now, but started articulating ‘mom’ the past week or so.  She says it whenever she is tired, hungry, upset, etc.  I was getting pretty tolerant at listening to her fuss in her crib (no crying) for a bit, but when she sits there and cries ‘mommmmm’ it’s a lot more difficult!  Doubt she really knows what it means yet – she does know it gets my attention!  🙂

Update:  She started saying “Ma Ma” on Thursday (March 4).  Sooo cute!
